Honeymooning Forever

Jacky & Matt

Welcome to our first blog! We are so excited (and a little nervous) to make this dream a reality, so thank you for being on this journey with us! We hope to inspire others to travel and enjoy the pleasures life has to offer. While we don’t want to bore you with the details, we think some background on us is important to understand the purpose of our blog and desire to be travel bloggers.

Matt and I are both from Miami and met over four years ago. We got married this past November in a non-traditional type of wedding that suited us perfectly. I find us both to be very non-traditional when it comes to many things, mostly societal norms. From the day you get married, people ask you “When are you buying a house?!” “When are you having a kid?!” and while I get why these are traditional, I hate that it is the expectation. Why isn’t the question “What are you most excited to share with your partner?!” “What are your plans and goals in life?!” “Where is your next trip?!”

We want to travel, explore the world, and indulge in the things we love most together (mostly food and beautiful places). And so, we vowed a life of exploring to each other. Exploring the world, eating our way through a city, getting lost in a foreign place, doing our best to communicate in a different language; this is what makes us happiest. With that said, Matt and I DO NOT plan to quit our jobs and travel the world. We are both way too career driven to do that, plus it’s just unrealistic for us both. However, we plan to incorporate a serious life of travel to our daily lives.

We consider ourselves to be foodies; Matt is an amazing chef and a master at the art of plating. So because of this, we have really gotten into food, critiquing it, and thinking of ways it can be better. We will typically review restaurants as a whole: food on it’s taste, texture, quality, originality, plating, you name it; atmosphere and overall experience. Which is why we wanted there to be a food component to our blog. We love trying new and unique places, and want you to do the same!

We hope you find our blog helpful, enjoy our journey, and want to explore new places with us!
